RSH 2024 Trip to Scotland

Another great opportunity

The itinerary is slowly coming together. The idea is to take the Eurostar and then the train to Stirling, where we will stay in the local Youth Hostel. In and near Stirling we have a host of possibilities:

The Wallace Monument

Stirling Castle

The Battle of Bannockburn Centre

A curry at Maharaja's

Stirling Jail

The Smith Art Gallery and Museum

The Glenturret Distillery

Stirling University

We will also be within easy reach of those locations in Fife that we didn't manage last year:

St Andrews

Isle of May

Fish and chips

Or a trip into Edinburgh to see the places we missed last year:

Edinburgh Castle

Holyrood Palace

The Museum of Childhood

A Horrible Histories Tour

Or who knows, perhaps even a trip to Glasgow:

Kelvingrove Art Gallery

Riverside Museum

The Botanic Gardens

The Science Museum

These are just ideas for the moment, the actual details will be fleshed out over the next few months. Cost should not exceed €700, including all travel, accommodation-, food and learning materials.

And how could I forget meeting up with my brother and his family and of course, the star of our last trip, Josie the dog!!!!
